Four Wheel Rims

Rims for four wheel drive vehicles are specially designed. Generally these rims are wider and made to be durable. Often the designation between referring to these as “rims” as opposed to “wheels” is to address the stylistic element to this piece of hardware. Therefore, when people talk about the rims for their 4x4 vehicle, often they will be emphasizing the chrome plating, for example, rather than the functionality.

As with many other vehicles, custom rims are seen as very important to some vehicle owners for the way they can influence the style of the overall vehicle. As that is the case, there are about as many custom rims available as there are personalities.

Of course, the right set of rims can also serve to enhance your vehicle’s performance. New rims can change everything from the gas mileage to the braking to the vehicle’s suspension.

Obviously, it is important to measure that the new rims and corresponding tires do in fact fit your vehicle. Your new set of rims will also need to match your vehicle’s hub. Four wheel rims are designed to be durable, but you will also want to have the best tires and suspension to ensure that they aren’t bent or damaged.
