Finding the best four wheel tires will depend on how you plan to use your vehicle. There are a number of off-road, all-terrain tires available. However, if you just have a part-time 4x4 system, these might not be best for you, as these tires usually lead to less fuel efficiency on regular road surfaces.

However, if you will be driving off-road consistently in slippery conditions such as mud or snow, these all-terrain tires are much more crucial. It is important to be prepared with the best tires so that you have good traction and grip from your tires in case these conditions present themselves.

One of the most vital things to do with your tires is to make sure they are kept at their recommended pressures when driving on-road. Sometimes you will need to lower these pressures in off-road conditions, but if you don’t re-adjust the pressure for highway road conditions, sometimes this can cause the tire to roll off the rim, which is potentially very dangerous. If you adjust pressure for off-road conditions, before to readjust as soon as you can.

Along these lines, it’s never a bad idea to have tire accessories such as tire pressure gauges, a pump and a spare tire on hand.
